Last weekend I had the pleasure of working with Amy! She had offered to help me with my current project and she was awesome! We had a great session and were able to try a lot of cool poses and different lighting techniques. This project is definitely coming along quite nicely! I have a lot to shoot after the Holiday's in order to get the project finished by February! I'm very excited about this project....however I can't think of a name! If you have any ideas...please let me know!! It is about the different strengths and differences of men and woman. It is really about ambiguity and the lines and curves of our bodies. If you have an idea...please let me know for real! :)

An addition to the genre project.
I had the pleasure of meeting this gentleman last weekend when I photographed him for my genre project. He has elected for me to not use his name and I am respecting that. He was a great candidate...and had a very unique look. I love the diversity he has brought to this project! I love the hat and the wallet chain...etc. Take a look at some of my favorites from this shoot and tell me what you think!
This project is moving along...but I still need models!! If you are reading this and are interested...please call me! If you are reading this and you think you may know someone who would be great....have them call me! :) This project is my own genre...classic, simple, elegant, a bit raw, sensual, understated, ambiguous, and unique! It is about strength and femininity and the diversity between sexes. This is one sample, but there are others, scroll down and take a look at Lauren and a few of the other females that I have posted!! I will keep posting the results here as I finish them!!
Hope to hear from you!!!

Family Portraits
Yesterday, I had the privilege of meeting and photographing the Boone Family; Josh, Kelly, Avery and Finley! They were absolutely adorable! It was such a fun shoot. Upon arriving at the Boone household, Todd and I felt more like old friends rather than strangers! They were so accommodating and made sure we felt at ease. As soon as we got there, I made sure to make friends with Avery, the 2 year old, so when I was photographing her, I didn't seem like a stranger. She is just scrumptious and too cute for words! We did have some smiling issues...meaning...we couldn't get her to...but it worked out just fine! The new baby, Finley was also adorable, with a full head of dark hair. We were able to get some really cool photos of her with the hands of Mom and Dad! I'm not finished editing this set, but I couldn't wait to get a few of them up to show everyone!! Let me know what you think!!!

James
Last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing James...a model who lives in Columbus. I'm currently working on a bit of a genre project! I'm attempting to gather a variety of people together to create a collection of photos that are all unique but still cohesive. This genre collection project will be finished by February and the final products will be on display at McFadden's Restaurant and Saloon on February 14th, 2009. More details regarding the event will be posted as soon as they are made available.
Take a look at these photos and tell me what you think!

A few that have yet to be seen...
Hey Guys!
I just wanted to post a few of my glamour shots that I have yet to post on here...you all saw Lauren's a while back and here are a few from my first attempt at the genre with Jen and a few from my most recent shoot with Angie. Take a look and leave some comments!

This one reminds me of a book I once saw where the photographer took photos of celebrities in their beds in the morning. It just looks like she is seeing daylight and can't quite commit to the day yet!
I love it!
She didn't know that I was still photographing!
I told her to relax while I looked at the shots I had so far....awesome trick!

Jen and Keir Kurinsky
On Saturday evening, October 4th, 2008, I had the pleasure of photographing a truly amazing couple! Jen and Keir are incredibly fun people! They had an intimate wedding in the back yard of their Bay Village home and everything was gorgeous! You can tell that these two are truly in love and definitely know how to have a good time! After the ceremony we went to Bradstreet's Landing, a beach right on Lake Erie. I had never been there before, but will most definitely be back! It was a prime location for a photo shoot! The wedding was at 4pm, so by the time we got to the beach, the sun was low in the sky...absolutely stunning! After we got back from the peir, we pulled in the driveway and Jen asked if they could ride their bikes and I could take some photos! What a cute idea...the photos turned out great! These two are something else....here are some of my favorites...10 actually...I couldn't cut it down anymore, there are so many that I love!
I told them to just walk and pretend like I wasn't there,
they would walk and kiss, walk and kiss...so in love!

The veil that is behind Jen was purchased for decoration of the ceremony site,
I grabbed it and brought it with us to the beach so they could play with it.
I think it adds a nice effect!

This one express' so much. This is the pose that the couple said was their "happy spot". A position they take when they need to feel like everything will be okay! I love it!
When they were riding, Todd laid in the middle of the
street to capture this unique angle! I love it!

After the all the fun, we came back to the house and
while I was photographing their rings and
some other little details, Jen and Keir stole away
a few private moments out back. Luckily Todd caught them
through the window! I love the simplicity of this one.

Maternity Shoot
I did a maternity shoot when I was in Columbus last week! It was great! The mother, Jenny, was so comfortable with herself and totally at ease the whole time! She took direction very well and the result was well worth it! I love her photos, they turned out just how I was envisioning! Now to just get my hubby to update my website with all these new photos...it has been a crazy couple of weeks for me...so he has a lot to catch up on! :)
Here are a few photos from the shoot, there are a lot more, but Blogger isn't working right, so I'll add more tomorrow!! :) Take a look at these and tell me what you think!
Thanks for looking!
I love the curves in this one!
Baby Shoes!! Too adorable!
I love this one! She looks so peaceful!
I think the angle of this one makes it dynamic, but soft too!
I think this one has a quiet serenity about it...very anticipatory.

Just experimenting!
After my first nude shoot with my best friend, Jen, I wanted to improve my skills and experiment with new poses and concepts. I found a willing and gorgeous candidate, Lauren. Believe it or not, this entire shoot was taken in an upstairs bedroom at my mom's house, because I don't have a studio as of yet! My goal was to show the female body in such a way, that would capture the sensuality of simplicity. I think that the more simple a shoot is the more you can really capture your goal. Though this does depend on the type of shoot... :) Lauren was wonderful, she took direction amazingly but still had some ideas of her own that she wanted me to capture. These photos are honestly some of my favorites that I have ever taken. I think this genre isn't something that is really explored by most photographers. There isn't really a title for it, as it is unique. It is not glamour, where woman are posing in lingerie for their husbands and boyfriends, it is not artistic nudes, with dramatic light and greasy looking bronzed bodies. I don't know what it should be called...simply nudes? Not sure, but either way, here are the photos!! As always, please comment and let me know your thoughts!!!
She is all tangled looking but still amazingly elegant.
For this one, I was trying to capture her face,
while keeping her legs slightly blurred as to not distract.
