Jen and Keir Kurinsky

On Saturday evening, October 4th, 2008, I had the pleasure of photographing a truly amazing couple! Jen and Keir are incredibly fun people! They had an intimate wedding in the back yard of their Bay Village home and everything was gorgeous! You can tell that these two are truly in love and definitely know how to have a good time! After the ceremony we went to Bradstreet's Landing, a beach right on Lake Erie. I had never been there before, but will most definitely be back! It was a prime location for a photo shoot! The wedding was at 4pm, so by the time we got to the beach, the sun was low in the sky...absolutely stunning! After we got back from the peir, we pulled in the driveway and Jen asked if they could ride their bikes and I could take some photos! What a cute idea...the photos turned out great! These two are something else....here are some of my favorites...10 actually...I couldn't cut it down anymore, there are so many that I love!

I love how her leg is kicked back in this one!
Heels on the beach? She rocked it!

I told them to just walk and pretend like I wasn't there,
they would walk and kiss, walk and kiss...so in love!

I love the whimsical feel of this one!

The veil that is behind Jen was purchased for decoration of the ceremony site,
I grabbed it and brought it with us to the beach so they could play with it.
I think it adds a nice effect!

Like I said before, walk and kiss...!

This one express' so much. This is the pose that the couple said was their "happy spot". A position they take when they need to feel like everything will be okay! I love it!

Bikes! They stopped for another kiss! Too adorable!

When they were riding, Todd laid in the middle of the
street to capture this unique angle! I love it!

I think this one looks "Old Hollywood"!

After the all the fun, we came back to the house and
while I was photographing their rings and
some other little details, Jen and Keir stole away
a few private moments out back. Luckily Todd caught them
through the window! I love the simplicity of this one.

My first Trash the Dress Shoot

Saturday I went out with Tanja to trash her dress! We went all over the Westlake and Bay Village area, ending up at Huntington Beach on Lake Erie and Tanja was a great sport. She was willing to get down and dirty, she even rolled around in the sand after she got her dress soaked! I had her playing in the surf and laying on the stone piers and jumping in high heels...she did it all, it was awesome! What a fun shoot. It was about 90 degrees and completely humid, so we were all soaked after the shoot was done, but the end result was well worth it! I hope future brides are as willing to do this as Tanja was because I think these photos turned out great! By the way, her dress was not ruined...she can have it cleaned without a problem...so all you brides out there that are afraid of ruining your wedding dress, but love these photos...have no fear!

I love the combination of the ruggedness of the boots and the
railroad tracks with the elegance of her dress!

Sexy! Love that she isn't smiling and the
wind is blowing her hair into her face.

Jumping in high heels!
She rocked this shoot for sure! How fun!

This one is a bit more quiet and simple, but she looks elegant
and I love how her shoes are just plopped down beside her.

I think this one is my favorite! Her legs look amazing and
the water from the spash adds a touch of playfulness to
her sultry face. I also love how the sun is beating down on her.

This one is exactly what I had envisioned prior to the
shoot...this was my goal for the day!

I didn't plan this one at all! She had been such a good sport
and was taking a quick breather from me telling her what
to do and this was the result, simply Tanja.

Playing in the water! At this point I told her just to have fun
and play in the water. She sure followed direction!

Rolling around in the sand! She was soaking wet, walked back to the sand and layed down, I told her to roll around to get her dress all sandy, this is truely a Trash the Dress shot!

Last frame of the day! I asked her if she had any ideas that she wanted to try for the last 30 frames and she crawled on the sand and did all sorts of stuff, but she really wanted to climb around onthe rocks...mission accomplished!

Please comment and critique these!! Tell me what you think, which ones are your favorites and what would you change if you could???? Let me know...I love feedback!

Sunset on Lake Erie

The other evening my husband and I decided that we would pack up our gear and head out to the Lake for the sunset and see what we could capture. We went to this little park that is right on the Lake and about 5 minutes from our house. Todd and I had never seen a sunset on Lake Erie, at least in this area so we had no idea what we were in for. It was pretty gorgeous! Not quite as dramatic as many more exotic places, but we were on Lake Erie, we weren't expecting that much! :) Here are a few of my favorites!

This is the first photo I snapped of the night, I love how the Sun is just peaking out of the clouds and sending rays down towards the Earth!

This is another one of my shots...I thought it was pretty intense and captivating!

This is one of Todds, I played around with it in Lightroom and I thought the result was peaceful and enjoyable, so I thought I'd share it too!

Obviously I didn't take this one! Todd snapped me when I was playing in the sand! I was drawing a heart with a stick, totally cliché, I know!
