Kristen and Bobby Hill 08.16.08

So...I shot a wedding last weekend for a couple who I have known for quite some time now. It was a blast! It was honestly one of those weddings where nothing goes wrong and you are kind of just waiting to see what will happen!! But nothing ever did...the weather was perfect, the crowd was fun, and the music was lively! Kristen and Bobby were adorable and you could tell they were a perfect pair! I haven't finished their photos just yet, but I have taken a few of my favorites and played around with them...what do you think??

Todd caught this one, when I was directing them during their formals, I love it!

Another one of Todd's!! Way to go babe!!!

Their kiss!
I really love this one, the angle, the bridesmaids, the crowd taking photos!

Under the veil!
This is not usually one of my favorite poses, but this one turned out very nice!!

The girls kicked off their shoes to dance! I love it!

What do you like/not like....let me know!!

Beautiful Blue Eyes!!

Okay, so I know this is my third post today, but like I told you, I've been busy!! I had taken both of these photos a while back and when Lightroom 2 came out, I was having some fun, playing around with the colors and this was the result!

These two beautiful girls are my little cousins, Gabby and Maddy! I emailed these out to a few of my family members and got amazing feedback, so I thought I'd brave you all!! Check them out, tell me what you think!!

I can't take how adorable they are!!!!

Kids are too much fun!

I had a very busy week in Columbus last week, shooting a wedding, family reunion, and portraits! The portrait session was of 5 grandchildren ranging in age from 2-8!! It was so much fun! The kids never wanted to cooperate at the same time...one was always upset...I found it adorable! It made me work harder, but that's what this job is about, right!?! The kids were too cute not to share with you! Here are a few of my favs from the shoot!!

I like this one, I think it emphasizes the matching outfits!

This little girl was scrumptious! Too cute!!

Group shot, no one is looking, but I think that's why I like it!

Playing on the pony! We bribed the younger ones the entire shoot, that when they were finished they could play on the pony!! It worked for me!

New type of portraits!

I was recently asked to photograph a family reunion, which is not something I have ever done before. I went in to it thinking that it would just be a very large portrait session, however I came away with so much more!

I went out to Amish country, to a cabin where the Oberlander family was staying for the weekend. I had been given a shot list to follow and took a fantastic assistant with me in order to organize the large group. I had been allotted two hours for photos and wanted to make sure that I got everything that everyone wanted.

Since the entire family didn't all live in the same town, I knew that it would be a challenge for them to view all of the photos if I left as soon as the shoot was completed. So I did something that I have never done before. I took the photos, then while the family had their big family dinner, I stayed at their cabin and edited all of the photos, so when the dinner was over they could view and order their prints right then!

It was genius! Not only did they get the satisfaction of seeing the proofs the same day, but they got to order everything that they wanted, so I could mail them out to them! It was also good for me because the post-process was finished the same day, which rarely happens!

It was quick and effective...I think this is something that I'm going to have to do again...or at least advertise that I do!! So if anyone is going on a lavish family vacation, say to Turks and Cacaos, and they would like a photographer to do portraits on the beach during their trip...just let me know!!! Ha ha ha!!

Here are a few of the photos from the Oberlander reunion, so tell me what you think!!

Great-grandchildren, youngest was 2 1/2 weeks old!

They were a goofy group!! It made it a lot more fun!

One of the individual family portraits.

The whole group!!

Senior Picture Time!

I was in Columbus a few weeks ago and had a senior picture shoot with Alex...who is absolutely adorable! We went to Creekside in Gahanna, which is gorgeous...totally easy to get some really cool shots and definitely a place I'd like to go in the future for other photo-shoots! Here are a few of my favorites...check 'em out and tell me which one is your favorite!

Don't forget to tell me which one is your favorite!!!
